Foy
Mia Moore

In 1989 my mother (Foy) was given 6 months to live. One afternoon, next to her in her bed, an ad came on about a piano flood sale. "I always dreamed I'd have a grand piano like that." She looked at me (legally blind and crippled from her disease) and said "Tomorrow, buy your piano, from me. I want you to enjoy it while I'm still here."

When the piano arrived I sat down and began to play a song I named Foy, from my heart to hers.
